Peakirk cum Glinton School Association

We are a group of parents and carers who organise events to support the school and bring our community together. We give our time and energy freely, seeking ways to enhance the school environment, assist with curricular and non-curricular activities and raise funds to enrich our children’s time at school.

The committee consists of the following elected members: Chair; Deputy Chair; Treasurer; and Secretary....ably supported by a dedicated and creative team. Our annual general meeting is held in February and everyone is welcome. Regular meetings are held at the school or the Bluebell public house next door, look out for our newsletters and notices around the school. Why not check out our information board near the school entrance?

We’ve made some significant purchases for the school such as the outdoor classroom, a sound system for the school hall and a bank of Netbook computers.

Our activities comprise a varied programme of events, which have included:

  • Midsummer dinner dance
  • Christmas Bazaar
  • Summer Fete
  • Plant sales
  • Twice-yearly discos for both Key Stages
  • Film nights
  • Quiz evenings
  • Christmas cards
  • Yellow Moon catalogue

Our desire to be more than just a team of fundraisers and a catalyst for the community, at which this school is at the centre, is undiminished and whilst we have built a core of parents and carers who are experienced in running events and fundraising, we are always seeking new members and ideas.

Working with the members of the association is hugely enjoyable, you don’t need to commit lots of time and all help is welcome, so come along and meet a really friendly bunch of likeminded people ! We don’t bite !!
