New to Reception
Our school day starts at 8.50am with the classroom doors being opened at 8.40am to give children time to settle in. Any child arriving after 8.50am will be marked as late and should check in at the Office before proceeding to class.
Hot meals are served every day and these can be pre-booked via our caterer Kingswood. The menu can be found in Key Information and is also emailed out regularly. Lunch is from 12 noon until 12.50pm.
The end of our day is at 3.15pm when children can be collected from their classroom doors.

We look forward to welcoming your children to our school in September.
We really want to make the transition to school a successful one and begin a purposeful partnership with school and home.
Although you will get a lot of the information at parent meetings and through various communications, we are posting a lot of it here so that you can look at it in your own time.
It can be really overwhelming to take it all in during one information session so we have already populated the page here with information, links, support and advice which we hope that you find useful. You may have the chance to read some of this before the school meeting or before September.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Healthy Child Programme
CPHC are launching our new online “Getting Ready for Change” health questionnaire. This new resource is aimed at all children across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who are approaching Reception Year age (4-5 years).
This online questionnaire has been designed to help families think about the health and wellbeing of their children as they move into school-age, and what changes to expect. It covers lots of points from hearing and eyesight through to emotional health and behaviour.
After answering the questions, a summary of answers is provided along with some helpful information and on-line resources. You can access the questionnaire by using the link below.

Our School Milk Scheme
Did you know our school has a school milk scheme? By registering your child for our school milk scheme they will receive a 189ml (third of a pint) cup of semi-skimmed milk every day. This is delivered fresh and chilled to their classroom every day.
How much does it cost?
Thanks to government subsidies, school milk is free for all under-fives and is subsided at around £15 a term for children aged five or older.
Why should I register my child?
School milk provides your child with essential nutrients such as calcium and protein, for strong, healthy teeth and bones. It is also rehydrating and energy boosting, helping to bridge the long gap between breakfast and lunch so children stay focused.
How do I register my child?
If your child is under five:
1. Go to www.coolmilk.com or pick up a form from school.
2. Just register by a Tuesday for your child’s free milk to start the following week.
Applying for Free School Meals
For children who qualify for free school meals, the school receives additional funding of up to £1,320 per year, known as Pupil Premium. Those eligible for Pupil Premium can also access other forms of assistance at school, including reduced fees for certain school trips and free school uniforms.
